EXTERNAL REVIEWERS TENURE APPLICATION
FALL 2025
Thank you for reviewing records of my creative research as part of my tenure review package. I am extremely grateful for your generosity of time, and for your critical assessment of my work.
My research narrative includes work in progress, which I intend to show in October 2025 at UNO Gallery on St. Claude in a solo exhibition. This will be the capstone of the research portion of my full tenure package, which is due to the RPT committee by December 1, 2025. All information is correct and complete on this page for external reviewers as of September 5, 2025 until November 15, 2025.

Self-Authored Visual Language Publications
I list four exhibitions below, with a link to each corresponding gallery and a brief description of the content of the work. Each image links to a comprehensive gallery of images with an artist statement and additional links to press and supporting materials.
The first link is for an exhibition-in-progress, scheduled for October 2025. The next two are for recent solo exhibitions. The last is for a two-person show that ran concurrently with a solo exhibition in 2022. These are the primary publications of my visual research. Content ranges among different aspects of healing.

Self-Authored Verbal Language/Written Publications
I am also linking the site for New Orleans Art Review, a local art critical journal for which I wrote between 2009-2022. NOAR was the only long-term art journal covering the New Orleans contemporary art world, and our writing chronicled the history of exhibition programming throughout the New Orleans area, on both the north and south shores of Lake Pontchartrain. It began publishing in the mid-late 20th century. The critical writing contained its print and digital pages were available at no cost to pick up at the galleries and museums whose exhibitions we covered. I interviewed artists and made deliveries of the published journals during the time I wrote for them. It is often lamented that the journal, which mysteriously ceased publication in 2022, is no longer active. The archive deserves a comprehensive inventory, a process I am eager to investigate.

Curation
I curated and co-curated many exhibitions during my service as the Director of the UNO Gallery on St. Claude (then called the UNO-St. Claude Gallery) between 2011-2018. While the majority of my curatorial research was located there, I also worked with local artists and curators such as Emily Farranto, Veronica Cross, the TEN Collective (which I co-founded), and The Second Story Gallery Artist Collective.
